Intro to Chamber Music

New this year!

For 6 weeks, students are engaged in a group setting led by SDSU’s Quartet in Residence, the Hausmann Quartet, focused on foundational chamber music skills such as cueing, intensive listening, score reading, leading/following, the art of intonation and more.

Intro to Chamber Music is held on the SDSU campus in the School of Music and Dance, presented by the Community Music School.

Please fill out the application and submit an audition video. The audition piece should be a work the student knows well and represents the student’s current level, demonstrating a range of technical abilities and musicianship. Please only submit video of the student playing solo or with piano accompaniment (not in an orchestra). A chamber music sample may be submitted as the secondary video only.
