Haydn Voyages

This concert marks our completion of the complete Haydn Quartet cycle, featuring Haydn’s final (incomplete) work in the genre from 1803, paired with works by Grieg, Schubert, Elliot Carter and Annie Gosfield in a gallery of musical “stills.” Rather than four-movement epics, we present a sequence of intense, self-contained snapshots, including masterpieces that—by fate or design—remain incomplete.
